Habitat Helping Hands serves Columbia and Greene County seniors, disabled and/or low-income homeowners who have few resources available to them. Like our affordable home ownership programs, we seek to give a hand-up to folks: helping them achieve the strength, stability, and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves, their families, and our community.
Habitat Helping Hands building projects are designed to be completed in a few days, and can include:
Through partnerships with other community-minded organizations, Habitat Helping Hands also provides education, tutorials and coaching on subjects related to home ownership (Dates TBD).

- Exterior repairs: ramps, accessibility, and minor outside safety-related repairs
- Interior repairs: grab bars, accessibility modifications.
Through partnerships with other community-minded organizations, Habitat Helping Hands also provides education, tutorials and coaching on subjects related to home ownership (Dates TBD).
- Home maintenance, repairs and improvement
- Home budgeting, household finance and credit
- Other related subjects are still being developed
