Get Help for Your Home

Habitat Helping Hands serves Columbia and Greene County seniors, disabled and/or low-income homeowners who have few resources available to them. Like our affordable home ownership programs, we seek to give a hand-up to folks: helping them achieve the strength, stability, and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves, their families, and our community.

Habitat Helping Hands building projects are designed to be completed in a few days, and can include:

Exterior repairs: ramps, accessibility, and minor outside safety-related repairs
Interior repairs: grab bars, accessibility modifications.

Through partnerships with other community-minded organizations, Habitat Helping Hands also provides education, tutorials and coaching on subjects related to home ownership (Dates TBD).

Home maintenance, repairs and improvement
Home budgeting, household finance and credit
Other related subjects are still being developed

Give your time

Make a difference in your community and join Habitat Helping Hands! No previous experience or special skills are required. Habitat’s volunteer Site Supervisor and crew leaders will teach you everything you need to know on-site! It’s easy to volunteer.

Your business can partner with Habitat for Humanity and help folks that need it in Columbia and Greene Counties.
